Chef Tyler Torrance and Restaurant
Manager Tom Ekler welcome you to the Island Room Restaurant and the Priory Oyster in
2011. They're delighted to offer a new Tasting Menu
accompanied by carefully selected flights of wine (a different

Burn's Night — 22
January
Happy Birthday to The
Bard! Come and celebrate Burn's Night with wit and wine,
whisky cocktails, a delicious four-course dinner with haggis, neeps
(and all the trimmings) plus a wicked whisky trifle.
And... as you'd expect, we've poems, the Selkirk grace and lots
of tartan madness too!
International
sculptor at Priory Bay: Lawrence Holofcener —
February
Actor, songwriter and
sculptor, Lawrence Holofcener
will be back on the Island to work on a new commission of
Hong Kong billionaire, Horace Kandori, in February.
Internationally famous for his work, Lawrence's most celebrated
sculpture — Allies — depicts Churchill and
Roosevelt in conversation on a park bench: you might have
seen his artist's copy on the Terrace at Priory Bay.
Lawrence will be running an open studio in the Coach House throughout
the month and all are welcome to watch him work. If you're
lucky you might even hear him tinkling on the ivories and
singing songs from popular musicals in the Drawing Room
too.

Valentine's Weekend — 12 February
Whisk your loved one away
to the sea for an enchanting Valentine's weekend.
Celebrate early and spoil your sweetheart for the weekend with
red roses, handmade chocolates, chilled Champagne and gastronomic
delights. Enjoy romantic seaside walks and cosying up in
front of roaring log fires. Our Tasting Menu and flights
of wine will feature some deliciously romantic surprises to bewitch
and bedazzle.
February Half
Term — 12–19 February
Whether it's a
steam railway ride,
trips to the zoo, shrimping in the
sea, a game of tennis, a visit to the nearby farm or beach rides on
ponies... we promise children won't be bored throughout the
February half term. We've also set aside a special Wii™ Room (for any rainy
days) and there will be a screening of a children's movie each
evening (after children's tea). Head Chef Tyler Torrance (who
has four young children of his own), is updating our children's
menu. While the classic favourites remain, he will
also include an innovative range of dishes featuring fresh,
seasonal ingredients from the garden (or from local
suppliers).
Charity Weekends

We all know 2011 is going
to be tough and charities are going to be asked to fill the gaps
created by public funding cutbacks. Priory Bay is working on a
scheme to raise substantial funds for charities over five winter
weekends. Book the entire hotel for a weekend (Friday evening
to Sunday evening) and up to 40% of the cost can go to your
designated charity.
Each weekend could raise
between £10,000 — £16,000 for your chosen cause.

Sunday night as a gift from us
Due to popular demand we
are continuing our "stay two nights and receive a complimentary
Sunday night at the hotel". This wonderful offer runs until 31
March 2011.
We look forward to seeing
you again soon
With kindest
regards
Angela Horton
