It might be September but with the Isle of Wight’s southerly location and special microclimate it’s still summertime on the Island. The sea’s warm, the sun’s shining and it’s a great time of year for feasting on Bryn Edwards’ autumnal menus (see our special food watch promotion!). Enjoy bird watching, riding on the beach, learning falconry, enjoying coastal walks and thrashing your partner at tennis! Go on…spend a late summer holiday break with us at “the country house hotel by the sea”.

  EVENTS THIS AUTUMN

"THE ARCHERS" come to Priory Bay — 8–9 October 2011
Come and stay the weekend and dine with Charles Collingwood ("Brian Aldridge") and his wife Judy (who plays "Shula Archer") at Priory Bay on Saturday, 8 October.  Come and listen to Charles talk about his life, and role as Brian in the BBC Radio Four's best-loved radio drama The Archers, enjoy a fantastic three-course dinner with wine and snap-up a signed copy of Charles' book "Brian and Me".

THANKSGIVING at Priory Bay — 24–27 November
American connections and influences pervade the country estate. It’s home to the famous sculpture  "Allies' - depicting Churchill and Roosevelt in deep conversation - sculpted by the internationally renowned American sculptor and artist Larry Holofcener, and past proprietor Lady St George and the present owner also have American roots.

Guests indulging in The Thanksgiving Package can enjoy three nights' accommodation with a fourth (Sunday) night complimentary, full American breakfast each morning and a special Thanksgiving five course dinner (inc coffee and petit fours) served on Thursday and Saturday nights (£50.00 per person) with sumptuous delights such as sweet potato and corn chowder, roasted Island turkey with New England stuffing, traditional autumn vegetables and sweetcorn followed by dark, gooey chocolate pecan pie. Delicious!
