April Newsletter

Spring, and the Priory is at its best: the gardens are bursting into bloom and the woodland beach path is a carpet of bluebells, violets, wild garlic  and pale yellow primroses.  We look forward to welcoming you to the Island.

April sees Island asparagus burst into season. Check-in with Head Chef, Tyler Torrance, as he dishes out some top tips on how to cook this succulent delicacy and shares his favourite recipe Farmer Brown's Asparagus.

Take a quiet break before Easter which is late this year, with our four-night offer for the price of three (until Easter) and extend your Bank Holiday break  (Easter and Royal Wedding) into a full week... for as little as £100 per room per night.

A Right Royal Wedding Bank Holiday Weekend Break
28 April-1 May 2011
Escape the maddening crowds and come and celebrate at Priory Bay. Arrive on Thursday 28 April and enjoy all the pomp, traditionalism and romance of the Royal Wedding broadcast on a large screen the next morning (or run to the beach for sanctuary).  Early booking recommended.

Walking and Talking Flowers in April and May

Don’t miss the horticultural high spot on the Island in April — the Isle of Wight Spring Garden Show (23–25 April 2011) — a feast of floral fun.  Walkers across the globe also descend on the Island in May to enjoy the Isle of Wight Walking Festival (7–22 May).

So come and stay at Priory Bay in April or May and enjoy the spectacular garden show, or the numerous accompanied and graded walks (including special family fun walks too) across the 500 miles of footpaths, areas of Outstanding National Beauty and spectacular Heritage coastline.  Bed & Breakfast rates from just £160 per night (based on two sharing).
