Priory Bay Hotel
The Island Room
“Food is one of the main reasons to visit Priory Bay” (Daily Express)
The Island Room restaurant is an elegant Regency dining room with gilded plasterwork and fine murals depicting picturesque views of the Isle of Wight. Decorated in 1810 the mural was painted by the Crace Brothers who also completed the spectacular Brighton Pavilion for the Prince Regent.
The seasonal menus focus predominately on seafood, local game and produce sourced form the hotel’s gardens and woodlands. In addition to the a la Carte menu there is also a six course tasting menu.
In summer the restaurant’s floor-to ceiling windows showcase dramatic views across the hotel grounds to the Solent, while in winter its large roaring, wood-burning fire creates a wonderful, warm ambience.
