Nature
Priory Bay's extensive grounds are a haven for wildlife including rare birds of prey, owls, red squirrels, dragonflies and orchids. The woodlands which unusually run right down to the sea makes the Priory estate a unique habitat for both land and sea birds.
The Isle of Wight’s woodland can provide habitat for around 3,500 squirrels and you will find many running around the Priory Bay Estate - if you're lucky, one may even pop their head through the bar window!
Please click here for details on the Wight Squirrel Project.
In addition to the Red Squirrel Project, the Priory Bay Hotel also supports the RSPCA, the Isle of Wight Bat Hospital and Badger Watch. |
